Linebacker Sean Spence was projected as a first-round draft pick in the latest mock draft from The Sporting News’ NFL Draft expert Russ Lande released this week.
Spence, who is set to compete in the Senior Bowl on Jan. 28, earned high praise from Lande, who called him “the best linebacker to come out of Miami since Ray Lewis.” After earning First-Team All-ACC honors and Butkus Award Finalist consideration, Spence was projected to be selected No. 23 overall by the Detroit Lions.
